“Chapter IV: When we enter the lair of Bigfoot, Gagafu and Dracovenie. Let’s hope we get out alive…” is Romanian artist Tincuţa Marin’s first solo exhibition in Asia, with seven paintings from the artist’s latest body of work. The name of the show comes from the character that appears most frequently in her paintings — Bigfoot, a huge yellow creature covered with spikes.

Daydream Believer: Upcycled Wearables & Art Exhibition 2022

Founded by three young local artists (Bertha, Carrie and Joe), Earthero Studio focuses on the most critical problems in the fashion industry: a huge wastage of offcuts and surplus fabric. Accompanying a new limited collection made with deadstock fabric sources in Hong Kong and in Asia, this art exhibition will feature a large-scale installation created with upcycled fabric and reusable materials and six paintings, promising to pay tribute to 80s Hong Kong.

Finding Animals: 20th-Century Chinese Paintings from the Yitao Collection

Featuring nearly 40 paintings by 10 Chinese painters of the 20th century selected from the Yitao Collection, this exhibition includes greats like Qi Baishi, Gao Qifeng, Xu Beihong, Ding Yanyong, and Li Keran — showcasing interpretations and presentations of animals. Both traditional ink brushwork and more contemporary techniques are used, bringing a sense of three-dimensionality, perspective, and a vibrant colour palette that is more common in Western paintings!

Hong Kong Design Institute’s Fashion Archive is putting the timeless cheongsam front and centre, showcasing over 40 historical and contemporary designs from the China National Silk Museum, contemporary fashion designers, celebrities, students and Hong Kong traditional Shanghai-style cheongsam master tailor Mr. Yan Ka-ma.

The Secret Cabinet

Works range from paintings to installations, archival materials and more from the beginning of Kusama’s career to now, including three brand-new pieces.
