Iyara

You’re likely to have noticed this popular spa on Cochrane Street whilst travelling on the Mid-Levels Escalator. Iyara has stood the test of time (at least, since 2008!) with other locations on Hollywood Road and Prince’s Terrace. Head here for traditional manicures starting from $160, or pedicures starting at $250. There’s a reason this place is always busy, so it’s best to book in advance.

Lavande’s two charming locations in Hong Kong offer some out-of-the-box manicure and pedicure treatments. We love the Rosy Rosie Manicure which centres around its namesake flower by incorporating a rose petal and essential oil hand bath, as well as a rose and citrus exfoliation treatment into your manicure experience. This local spot is a clean and hygienic space, and the nail art that the technicians do is fantastic. Whilst the Facebook Page is in Cantonese, the professional, friendly staff do speak English. If you adore the Japanese beauty aesthetic, Carte Blanche is the salon for you. A lot of the staff are either Japanese or have had experience in Japan, which means they’re experts on the latest beauty trends and products. The cheapest manicure and pedicure options are $350 or $550, respectively. The gel nail options are pricier than others in the city, with a Shellac mani starting at $550 or Shellac pedi from $750, but we think the expertise of the technicians justifies the price tag.
